Sandbox

A falling-sand game where every material is a security idea. Malware eats data, ransomware locks it into crystal, and patches, backups and honeypots fight back. Draw anywhere to play.

Cellular automaton on a 320 × 200 grid of typed arrays, scanned bottom-up in alternating directions with a per-cell moved-this-tick stamp
Powders pile, liquids level, gases rise; fifteen contact reactions all roll dice on one seeded xorshift stream
Cells upload every frame to a WebGL2 texture; shaders add per-grain shimmer, emissive glow, a two-level bloom and heat haze
The 30 s demo is scripted brush strokes on a fixed 60 Hz tick; seeking re-simulates from the seed, with snapshots every 2 s
Keys 1–9, 0 and E pick a material, [ and ] size the brush, right-click erases
