Threat hunters

An AI security system's hunters forage across an organisation's network like slime mould. When an anomaly flares up, the whole web re-routes its veins toward it, and once enough hunters arrive it is contained and freezes into a scar.

  • Physarum agents (Jones 2010) stepped by hand-written WGSL compute shaders
  • Each hunter senses its trail at three forward sensors; deposits land with fixed-point atomicAdd, then a 3×3 diffuse and decay pass
  • Anomalies emit attractant into a field buffer; hunters near each one are tallied with workgroup atomics, so containment is decided on the GPU
  • Fixed 60 Hz timestep: seeking re-simulates from the seed in batched command buffers
